Terms of Use

By using PocketSparky, you agree to these terms. We've kept them practical — the same way we build the product.

Public Pilot

PocketSparky is currently free during our Public Pilot. Features continue to improve based on feedback from Australian electricians. By using the service, you accept that we may update tools, pricing, and availability as the product matures.

See our Public Pilot page for more about what to expect.

Service availability

We work hard to keep PocketSparky available when you need it on site. However, we cannot guarantee uninterrupted access. Maintenance, updates, or technical issues may occasionally affect availability. We will do our best to communicate planned downtime when we can.

Accounts

You are responsible for keeping your login details secure. Do not share your account with others. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us promptly at hello@pocketsparky.com.au.

We may suspend or close accounts that violate these terms or pose a risk to the service or other users.

Acceptable use

PocketSparky is built for Australian electrical trade work. When using the service, you agree not to:

  • Use it for unlawful purposes or to generate harmful content
  • Attempt to access systems or data you are not authorised to use
  • Reverse engineer, scrape, or overload the service
  • Misrepresent PocketSparky output as certified engineering advice
  • Share content that infringes the rights of others

Intellectual property

PocketSparky, including its design, software, branding, and content, is owned by Hellessey Pty Ltd. You receive a limited licence to use the service for its intended purpose during the Public Pilot.

You retain ownership of content you submit. By submitting feedback or content, you grant us permission to use it to improve PocketSparky.

Your responsibilities

PocketSparky is a support tool — not a substitute for your professional judgement. You remain responsible for all work you perform, including compliance with applicable legislation, Australian Standards, licensing requirements, and safe work practices.

Please read our Disclaimer for important guidance on how to use PocketSparky on site.

Changes to the service

We may update features, pricing, or these terms as PocketSparky evolves. We will make reasonable efforts to notify users of significant changes. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.

Limitation of liability

PocketSparky is provided during the Public Pilot on an “as is” basis. To the extent permitted by law, Hellessey Pty Ltd is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the service, including decisions made based on information provided by PocketSparky or Mick.

Nothing in these terms limits your rights under Australian Consumer Law where those rights cannot be excluded.
